Guntram Halder, an Austrian from Tyrol, has been solo trombonist at the Deutsche Oper Berlin since 2002. He began his career with the Philharmonic in Augsburg, the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne and the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin. Guntram received his early trombone training at the Landesmusikschule in Tirol and completed his studies with Professors Michael Stern and Wolfram Arndt at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. Since summer 2017 he has been playing the bass trumpet in the orchestra of the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth.
